Jacobs Academy is a registered charity (reg. number 1200101) and a project borne out of a passion to uplift the educational standards in minority ethnic communities, and make opportunities available for children needing help with schooling, up until later teenage years when they can become productive members of society.

We believe that every student deserves access to high-quality education, regardless of their location or circumstance. Our tutoring and homeschooling academy offers personalized and effective learning solutions for students of all ages, from kindergarten to college.

Our Vision

We aim to equip children and young people from marginalised communities with the education, skills, tools and opportunities they require to thrive in sustainable careers, regardless of any limitations or nuerodiversities.

We want to provide engaging and interactive learning experiences that are tailored to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student. JA will support with homework, exam preparation, help with homeschooling, and provide a digital tutoring service offers students the opportunity to receive personalized one-on-one support from experienced tutors when they need it.

The Tutoring Service

Our primary activities currently include

• Online tuition in core subjects leading to GCSEs and A levels.
• Delivery of structured educational resources and guidance to students and their caregivers (parents, guardians). Empowering students to be independent continuous learners and enabling caregivers to identify and articulate clear educational goals for their children and young persons. The support provided for caregivers furthermore, ensures that they understand the requirements for achieving these goals, and are capable of implementing learning strategies with confidence and consistency.
• Neuro-inclusive (SEN) workshops and initiatives to strengthen foundational learning skills.
• STEM and manufacturing workshops to foster critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving skills, and collaboration via hands-on projects which mimic real life challenges.
• STEM outings and factory visits for exposure to simple industrial systems, manufacturing processes, management roles and diverse entrepreneurship avenues.

This service is perfect for students who need extra help with their assignments. Our knowledgeable tutors are available to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer feedback to help students master difficult concepts and improve their grades.

We all know how hard it can be to prepare for the big "E" - Exams. We help our students feel confident and prepared when it comes time to take their exams. Our experienced tutors provide strategies for studying, time management, and test-taking, to ensure that students are fully prepared to achieve their best possible results.

Our video tutorials offer students an additional resource for learning and review. Our library of high-quality tutorials covers a wide range of subjects and concepts, and is available on-demand, so students can access the material at any time, from anywhere.
